The Peninsula Hotel Soon To Rise in Paris

Hotels are always interesting. They are one of the symbols and images that would pop up into your head once you think about the word “luxury”. They are your no-ordinary destination. Even just with planning to visit the place, you would already find yourself taken into heights of imagination and most of all, hearing a call for your financial preparation. They are just not so affordable anymore! But of course, if the experience is too good, you would definitely find yourself not caring about the money you spend anymore.

If you have seen the Peninsula Hotels all over Asia, you would probably find yourself coveting their soon to open branch in Paris. The hotel’s finally decided to be right in the City of Lights to welcome you to its beautifully constructed building that definitely has a lot of historical touch. The whole design of the building may not totally be shown yet but the size of it is just so huge that it would definitely catch the eyes of everyone who would pass by it. Some describe it to be a monumental one when it’s finally done. It’s stunning and will definitely get you interested. Despite the fact the building isn’t made out of scratch, the fact that it is a historic one just adds up to the overall beauty of the place. The place is said to be opened at a later date of this month and year although no specific date have been mentioned yet.

The hotel definitely made sure that people are aware of the soon to open hotel in the City of Lights. They have posted a big billboard showing the name and structure of the building with flashing lights around each of them to make it even more visible. The simple but artistic design of the logo just shines through the board day and night which helps in making its existence known.

On its opposite direction is the Le Royal Monceau which will take about 10 minutes of walk from the same spot. You will definitely easily find it because of the size of the building and the big sign that is posted right in front of it.

Traditionally French with A Jean Nicot

If you want a traditional variety of French cuisine then take a trip to A Jean Nicot this week as you visit Paris. Plates range in price from ten to thirteen euros while drinks are under four euros. The restaurant is open from Monday to Saturday until 9pm. The address is 173 rue Saint-Honoré in 1eme Paris. If you are taking public transport then you want to use Métro : Palais Royal ou Tuileries.

Amarante Beau Manoir Hotel in Paris.

This little bar looks somewhat out of place, squeezed Rue Saint-Honoré's fancy luxury boutiques: it seems to hail from another era altogether. The bar is dedicated to Jean Nicot, the French ambassador to Portugal known for bringing tobacco to France in the 1600s, and so the place was known for a long time as ‘Nicot’s herb’. The owner, along with his wife and son, are extremely friendly and welcoming – it’s the sort of place that one can go to read the paper while having a coffee, and its regular visitors include intellectuals, journalists and actors. It also happens to be one of the best places in to eat and drink affordably in the neighborhood. The dishes here are all between €10 and €13: cheese and charcuterie boards, and classic dishes like beef or salmon tartar, along with great salads like the Italian (buffalo mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, basil and country ham). The wine comes from an impressive list and is served by the bottle, carafe or glass.
